I can’t even remember where I heard about this technique but I know I forgot to use it until I saw it again on the Internet the other day when browsing through Pinterest. I tried it this morning and just had to share it with you straight away – it’s incredible ! I love having my nails polished, playing with colours and turning my finger tips into fashionable accessories, however I often find myself spending a few days with chipped polish because I can’t be bothered to remove it… NOT sexy ! It tends to take me ages to clean my nails the traditional way, especially since I usually paint on 3 coats of polish so that the colour is bold and long-lasting. But now… NOW… I’ll be changing colour every few days because it will only ever take me SECONDS to remove it ! And as a bonus, I’ll be saving money instead of using almost a whole pack of cotton wool each time… Here’s how ! Easy, right ?! So watch out for my ever-changing nails from now on ! Today I’m going for a crackled red on powder pink – Mister Monkey loves it 🙂 Think you’ll give it a try ?! xx – – – – – –Beauty : Remove your nail polish in seconds !
Good evening ! I’m writing to you from an IDBUS (new buses linking London to Paris, more on that subject soon !) which explains why I’m posting so late. In fact I very nearly missed it, as I would, but I won’t go into details. What this does mean though is that I have the Internet on this bus and THAT’s cool. (no I don’t ever stop. yes I will die at the age of 30. no I don’t really mean that, mom.) Tonight is a big night because it’s our first DIY beauty recipe. I’ve been making my own pretty potions for years now and decided it was about time I shared a few tips. Once a week we’ll be making creams, toners, scrubs, masks and more – all natural and easy to make ! Let’s kick off with a Citrus Scrub – one of my fav’s to start the week on a Monday morning (yes my “scrub day” is Monday ^^). It’s a soft scrub as the salt is cut with brown sugar but also an energetic one as the citrus fruits give you a tangy lift. To make your own Citrus Scrub, you will need body oil, baby oil or almond oil, a clean pot and the following ingredients : To make your citrus pulp just put the peel of half and orange, half a lemon and half a grapefruit in your mixer and pulse until you have a spread. If you don’t have a mixer that’s fine, you can just grate the peel and use it that way – I have done that before and it doesn’t look the same but works just as well. When you have all these ingredients in a pot, add your oil up to the brim. Now mix and notice how the oil sinks into the other ingredients and doesn’t reach the top of the pot any more. Top it up and keep mixing. Do this over until you manage to fill the pot with oil without it being absorbed. You should end up with your mixture talking up 7/8 of the pot (a very approximative fraction) plus a thin layer of oil on top. If you find you have too much or not enough of something, you can always adjust your scrub so that it’s just right for you by adding more salt, sugar or oil. Sensitive skin version : take out the salt and use 2/3 brown sugar, 1/3 pulp. Use this scrub once a week, mixing it up with your fingers or a spoon before each use. Remember to scrub in circular movements and also to breath in the sweet smell ! Do not use on your face. Don’t forget to vote ! When the new collections began to poke their heads through the shop windows, I soon had a whole list of things that I would be looking to buy over the next season. Believe it or not, the list goes on. As more and more clothes, shoes, bags and accessories make their way into the stores, my Autumn wishlist seems to grow. I have been very good so far and have bought nothing but a turquoise Louche sweatshirt. However, I am preparing for a serious shopping sesh very soon to get myself over the end of holiday blues. Until then, here are some special bits and pieces I have placed in a wishful corner of my mind : Quand les nouvelles collections ont commencé à se montrer, je vous avais rapidement fait part de mes premiers coups de coeur. La liste s’allonge avec l’arrivée de nouvelles pièces… Pour le moment j’ai été assez sage, je n’ai acheté qu’un pull turquoise de la marque Louche. Ceci dit, je sens bien arriver une grosse session shopping très bientôt. Voici une nouvelle sélection de produits qui font boom boom dans ma cage thoracique : 1 :Heart Stud Pump Alexander McQueen / 2:Studded Tassle Bag by Mulberry / 3 : Quilted trench by Moncler / 4 : Tee-shirt by Ralph Lauren / 5 : Brown leather boots by Stuart Weitzman / 6 : Silk scarf by Salvatore Ferragamo / 7 :Lingerie by Jenny Packham / 8 : Eye Colour Quad by Tom Ford (love the glittery grey !) / 9 : Python blouse by MICHAEL Michael Kors / 10 : Orb Shoulder Bag by Vivienne Westwood As you can see, my selections are getting more and more wintery – must be the rain that has suddenly decided to pour all over the South of France. Bring on boots, cozy sweaters and snuggly scarves ! – – – – – –Shopping : Autumn wishlist #2

Somedays, DIYing just doesn’t go according to plan. Today was one of those days. You know what it’s like, however hard you try, however many projects you try to get stuck into… It’s just not gonna happen ! So I decided to give up on the millions of marvelous things I had to show you today and go and get me some pampering ! But of course Creativity kicks back in when you least expect it and I ended up making something after all. I had a beautifully relaxing bath with this Homemade Bath Bomb and just had to share it ! The oats are great for a soft soothing bathe and the lavender smells delicious even though the flowers aren’t out yet ! The salt will help with any aches or pains and the rest just makes you feel special ! The perfect end to a long week-end ♥ Le DIY, ça ne se passe pas toujours comme prévu. J’ai entamé dix mille projets divers aujourd’hui… Et tous ont échoué. J’avais décidé d’abandonner lorsque soudain… Here’s how to do it yourself : Toi-même tu sais faire : Until tomorrow, sleep tight : ) xx P/S. Yesterday was my very first Hoopdance class in Hackney, and boy was I excited ! I had hula hooped once before, and of course a few times as a child, but apart from that small amount of experience, I was (and still am) a total NEWBIE. The class was super welcoming and I enjoyed myself although I usually tend to have a shy disposition when amongst a new group. To make sure I wasn’t over-timid and did feel confident enough to mingle, I had prepared a special Hula Look for the occasion. I’d done a lot of research about Hooping in London and came to realise that it is a colorful and friendly world. Hoopers do not hesitate to pile on the body glitter or whip out their secret weapon : LED hoops that light up in the dark and create amazingly abstract and temporary art as they dance. On a more regular basis, quirky Hoopers tend to simply wear bright clothes and a massive grin on their face. So I went for that option to start off with.Hula Hair
