Recently I’ve been getting a lot of search engine results for words like “DIY CROP TOP” or “EASY DIY TEE” or “DIY CUT TOP” : my friends, we are going to get along ! As I told you guys last time I created a DIY cut crop top tutorial, I ♥ making tops out of basic shirts. Since a lot of you seem to be using the word “easy” in your searches, I figured there would be no harm in making this DIY as easy as it gets. This crop top if made from a man’s GAP shirt (size M, colour light blue, £8.50) and is inspired by American Apparel’s simplest large crop top.
Learn to do it yourself :
Toi-même tu sais faire :
It’s as easy as that ! / C’est aussi simple que cela !
A few tips : / Quelques astuces :
- Always trace the line you are about to cut with your finger on the fabric first, there’s nothing wrong with realizing you’ve gone wonky !
- Tug the fabric a little after cutting to roll it up slightly for a nice finishing effect.
- Always cut a little longer than you would think – just in case ! You’ll almost always find this is the right length.
- Wear one crop top over another for extra style !
/ Superposer plusieurs top pour un nouveau style !
My new jubilee bling ; ) More coming soon…
Have fun !

Love how easy this is and actually so wearable! I shared it on my blog (with main photo and link back to you of course). Hope this OK! This is exactly the kind of DIY the people who read my blog and I like.
The more DIYers the merrier ! Thanks for the link :)
I will bear in mind this is the kind of DIY you and your readers like – many more coming ! Thanks again, xx

I love your simple DIY, they always make me go: yeah, why didn’t that cross my mind? Your glasses are pretty cool as well – did you do them? Elton John would turn jealous….
Haha – he definitely would ! Unfortunately I have to admit they are not homemade, they’re from Accessorize. Actually I got that same “why didn’t I think of that” feeling when I saw them !
Thanks for the lovely feedback
